Not a daddy’s girl,
or a mommy’s girl,
I’m a big sister girl.
You heard my first words,
steady hands guiding me,
through life’s first steps,
holding me close when the world felt too big.
You taught me how to swim,
how to drive, ride a bike with shaking hands,
and how to stand tall,
even when I wanted to fall.
Bought me clothes I didn’t know I needed,
shared your recipes,
your favorite books,
and Sunday football games.
Late-night phone calls,
long drives,
coffee cups in hand,
you, always by my side.
My sisters, my lifeline,
the reason I’ve come this far.
You carried me, lifted me,
made me who I am today.
Not a daddy’s girl,
or a mommy’s girl,
I’m a big sister girl.

To my sisters, thank you for always taking care of me. ♡
